Finished listening to the seven-disc audiobook CD of The Long Tail last week.  The book describes how some laws of economics have changed (especially those of retail), thanks to the Internet and the increased selection offered to consumers and the corresponding minimal costs of selling and distribution.  Using examples such as iTunes, Amazon and NetFlix as examples, the book offers hope to self-publishers, musicians and other homemade content creators to get exposure to the masses, even if that doesn’t come along with massive sales numbers.
