Next weekend (July 30-31) is the Fifth Annual Burning River 100 Mile, the USA Track and Field 100 Mile Trail National Championship which I direct. The race has grown tremendously in 5 years. As of this writing (July 21) we have 287 entrants and are looking to hit 300 by the time the race starts. We also have somewhere between 350-400 volunteers helping out runners. Well, the XTERRA Hampton Hills Trail Run is about 8 hours away. The second race in the XTERRA Northern Ohio Trail Run Series is held in Akron at the Hampton Hills area of the Summit County Metroparks. The course is the simplest with two 3 mile loops, each of which feature a steep uphill and a steep downhill. Still, it’s the simplest course of the series and should result in some decent times.

New WordPress theme has been installed and WordPress has been upgraded (was Version 2.2.2 – was that like, from 1976?).
Soon I will clean up the site and start posting some regular content.
A re-branding, a new site, a nicer feel, a better way, an improved layout, a catchy look. And time for me to re-learn WordPress and learn how to move content between directories without killing everything.
Hope to have the new one up and running within 10 days.
The new North Coast 24 is a 24 hour run or .91 mile loops around the lower loop of Edgewater Park in Cleveland. The race will be held on October 3-4.
