It’s the Sixth Annual Green Jewel 50K. It takes place on March 2, 2013 and registration is now open. Because of the threat(?) of salamander migration interfering with the race the last couple of years, we’ve moved the start back to 9:00 AM. That way, you can sleep in, the salamanders can go to sleep and everyone’s happy.
The Sixth Annual Burning River 100 is history. Dave James and Connie Gardner both defended their crowns and we had a record number of entrants (360), starters (317) and finishers (199).
The weather was ideal (high of 80F) and the trail conditions were as good as you could get.
We’ve more than doubled our numbers since Year 1 in 2007. So next year’s race will feature a number of course changes, brought about my the growth of the event.
